Beekay bedding

Scanbur BK produkter

BeeKay QC Bedding
This product is made from specially selected aspen trees from managed forests grown in central Norway. This is an area which is known to be virtually free from industrial or chemical pollution. The manufacturing process provides uniform size soft wood chips which have been hot air dried at 90°C for at least four hours. This, together with specialist dust extraction, provides an absorbent, dust free and microbiologically clean bedding material which is suitable for most laboratory animals.

The product is well suited for use as a contact bedding within rodent cages.

Routine Analysis
Regular analysis is carried out as part of S.O.P. for a whole range of standard parameters to ensure that the product is suitable for GLP and meets our own high standards. Analytical results are published quarterly and available free of charge upon request.

Batch Analysis
Batch analysis is available upon request. Samples from each manufacturing run are stored for 12 months at -4°C to allow for additional checking to be carried out if necessary.

Finished Product
Each bedding product is normally packed in 2-ply paper sacks. Each sack is batch numbered for ease of reference and includes date of manufacture. The "Big Bag" system and container load is available on request. Extended chemical analysis or specialist packing can be provided to individual requirements.

Storage
To minimise deterioration of the finished product it should be stored in a damp-proof, vermin free, ventilated store. Under good storage conditions it has an extended shelf-life.
